It's been a whirlwind past couple of weeks. What with school and activities and all...
To catch you guys up, my dad is presently in San Diego with his brand-spankin'-new fiance. Yep, he proposed. He's over there with Robin on one of her business conferences and this past Monday he scheduled a hot air balloon ride for the two of them and he popped the question. I saw the ring - bling bling, baby, I would've said yes, too...*winks*
My friend David is cracking jokes, laughing loud and frequently, visiting with his parents in from England for three weeks, he and I will have 20 minute conversation every other night or so in which he imitates (what sounds like) Yoda swallowed by Sean Connery, and is doing well in general. I am so incredibly excited to see how well he is doing. I haven't told you anything past what happened this past Easter Sunday, but his life is almost back to normal and he seems to be doing well. He is a good friend to have.
My boyfriend Dave is doing well, too. He's no longer sick (but it sure as hell took its sweet time to leave) and is better settled into the new house, as far as stuff goes. He has a project on his hands (building a loft for future roommates) which means he's pretty happy with himself, seeing how much he loves to work with his hands. According to my unprofessional opinion, well, it's looking good so far, I guess. :) School is rough on both of us, and our conflicting schedules are starting to limit our time together noticeably, but still, the time I do get with him is good. Besides, we have Monday afternoons blocked out just for he and I to hang out, which is always something I look forward to.
As far as I go, work is not too shabby, school is a mostly unenjoyable pain, and I turn 19 this Sunday. Odds are, most of you won't read this until after that, which is my fault. I stopped posting so you stopped looking. All I'd like is a few comments, timely or belated, with birthday wishes and I will be happy. From what my dad's been hinting at, it sounds like his fiance has gotten me enough in the present department to cover all of you put together, so no worries about that. ;)
No specific funny stories from work to share with you, but I have a four-hour shift later today and I'll let you guys know. Love you all, and best wishes.
